Snack Shack Club

Snack Shack Club is a student club lead by the PTA and our teacher rep, Mrs. Maglio.

The goal is simple: have FUN, sell SNACKS, and LEARN some things.

What we do.
This is a 2-part club: The Club and The Shifts. The club is where we learn and prepare for the Shifts. The Shifts are where we practice what we've learned. Read more about each one below.

The Club: Meetings

WHEN: Weekly on Mondays from 3:25-4:15pm
WHERE: room 105

What we do.
  • Manage the snack shack inventory
  • Calculate burn rate (you'll learn what that means at your first meeting)
  • Create new menu board signage each week
  • Develop sales and marketing plans based on inventory opportunities
  • Place the weekly order based on inventory projections
  • Manage the shift schedules for the upcoming week
  • Practice customer service

Students must attend meetings in order to be scheduled on that week's schedule.

The Shifts: Selling

WHEN: Tuesdays & Thursdays during lunch
WHERE: in the lunch area

What we do.
  • Students work alongside an adult PTA volunteer to run the snack shack during all grade level lunch periods.
  • Check-in with adult volunteer at the beginning of your lunch period for your scheduled shift.
  • Grab a lanyard and eat lunch before your shift. 
  • Cashiers - take orders,  accept payment and provide change to customers
    • SMILE | INVITE | THANK
  • Floaters- restock inventory, and assist in delivering snacks and drinks to customers as needed
    • ANTICIPATE | INFORM | REPLENISH

All club members can participate in snack sales during lunch, but in order to have a cashier role, anyone handling money must be a current PTA member.
