Save the date - 12/11 VIDA's Winter Arts Festival & Market VIDA FOOD DRIVE NOW through November 14 Our Family Liaison, Eva Lopez is collecting items for Thanksgiving for VIDA families who need some extra help this season.  You can bring in canned food and shelf stable items into the office and drop them in the bin. In addition to dry goods, she is collecting Turkeys!! We're close to our goal but need just 6 more turkeys to get there! Can you help by donating a Turkey? Bring one in to the front office before November 14th.   Questions? Email Eva Lopez at [email protected] Farm Box Pre-Sale and Farm Stand Tuesday, November 18 3-4:30pm Our monthly farm box sale is happening now. For pickup on □️Tuesday, November 18, order now through □□ 11/11. Jumbo ($39) and regular ($29) sized boxes available for pre-sale. Or donate a box for the VIDA Pantry donation drive! Depending on how many veggies your family eats, there's an option for you! Jumbo box is great for a family of 4+ or for those who like to do some batch cooking and want to stock up the freezer with some □□□veggie packed soups for fall! Regular sized boxes are great for a smaller crew or those who just want to bulk up the veggies in their meal plan.□□□ On pickup day we'll have our farm stand with a smaller option! Fill-a-bag for just $9!! □️ Handel's Dine Out before or after COLs Wednesday & Thursday, November 19 and 20*  Wednesday and Thursday 11/19 and 20 are minimum days for all students and Celebrations of Learning (COLs) for our 7th and 8th grade students Celebrate the minimum day with friends at Handel's in Vista or grab a sweet treat to celebrate your COL!! *Time range TBD but, will be after school. Look out for the flyer in the school newsletter next week.   Thank you for participating in our dine-out last month! Upper Crust donated $450 back to VIDA from all of your purchases. Design Challenge Helpers Needed Wednesday & Thursday, November 19-20 from 9am-12pm We are looking for 9 helpers on each day to help pass out supplies to students for the design challenge.  Sign up for a 1 hour spot at 9, 10 or 11am. Sign Up PTA Association Meeting & Friendsgiving Potluck Thursday, November 20 at 5:30pm Our 2nd Association meeting of the year is paired up with a night with friends at our Friendsgiving Potluck! RSVP on our signup page.  If you aren't able to bring something to share, don't let that stop you from joining us! RSVP anyways so we know how many people to setup for. Sign Up STUDENTS!! This is for you! Snack Shack Club NOW OPEN WHEN: Every Monday morning from 9-9:45am  WHERE: Student Store HOW TO JOIN: Show up on Monday 11/18 at 9am. We will add you to the Google Classroom then. This is a 2-part club: The Club and The Shifts. The club is where we learn and prepare for the Shifts. The Shifts are where we practice what we've learned. All students can participate. If your student would like to have a cashier role, they need to be a PTA member. Student PTA membership is a reduced price of $6 and can be paid at the club meeting. More Info Holiday Gift Drive Thru December 11 Our Family Liaison, Eva Lopez is collecting gift donations for families in need this holiday season. We are collecting gifts for all ages. As you are doing your shopping if you would consider purchasing a gift to donate, you can bring it to Eva in the school office until Thursday, December 11. Gift cards to places teens would like are greatly appreciated! Gift wrapping supplies also needed. You can also purchase gift cards online through Raise Right and they will be shipped to school.
